About Us

Wolverine Fire Apparatus was established in February 1978.  Wolverine builds grass units, tankers, pumpers, rescues, and specializes in Custom Fire Apparatus.  Our employees, several of which have been or are firefighters themselves, take great pride in the construction of all trucks to make sure that each and every vehicle that leaves the plant is constructed to the tightest, most rigid specifications. This philosophy has created many satisfied and repeat customers over the years.  Due to honorable business concepts, a quality product, and quality customer service, many of the Wolverine Apparatus Sales were finalized with nothing more than a handshake.

Wolverine has not followed suit with cost cutting building practices like extrusions.  We have stayed the course with formed built technology. Wolverine engineers and manufactures formed built bodies from the customers choice of aluminum or stainless steel.  This feature allows for the largest available compartments and the greatest design flexibility in the industry to meet the growing demands of today's firefighting and rescue needs.  These are just a few of the reasons that Wolverine is one of the fastest growing Fire Apparatus builders in the country.

In February 2008, Wolverine purchased the assets of Elite Fire Apparatus. With the Elite assets, Wolverine inherited top of the line equipment, a 66,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, and employees with up to 30 years of fire apparatus building experience.  In May 2008, operations were moved to the current facility located in Tilleda, WI.
